Betsy Gain is a sound person for film and TV in Los Angeles. For the past four years, she has been working as a freelance production sound mixer, boom operator, and sound utility for narrative, commercial, and documentary filmmaking in Los Angeles. She also works in post sound; and she is skilled at dialogue editing and sound repair, which informs her work in production sound. She is a recent film-school graduate with experience in cinematography, editing, and directing.
Raised in Springfield, IL, she was originally trained in Evolutionary Biology and Psychology at Princeton and The University of California, Santa Barbara. She writes a blog called Minds Make Movies about film production and cognitive science.
